Trinidad & Tobago Public Holidays is a free, independent resource dedicated to giving residents, employers, students, and visitors a single reliable place to check holiday dates without hunting through government gazettes or outdated PDFs.

The site covers all statutory public holidays from 2024 through 2028, spanning the three categories recognised under T&T law — national holidays (Independence Day, Republic Day), religious observances (Eid-ul-Fitr, Divali, Good Friday, Corpus Christi, Spiritual Baptist Liberation Day), and cultural celebrations (Carnival Monday and Tuesday, Indian Arrival Day, Emancipation Day). Beyond the holiday calendar, we publish school term dates aligned with Ministry of Education announcements, long weekend guides, and a growing blog covering things to do across the twin islands.

Our primary source for national and public holidays is the Office of the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, which issues the official gazette listing statutory public holidays each year. We cross-reference these against the Ministry of National Security holiday notices and, where applicable, announcements from the relevant religious communities.

Religious dates that vary year to year — particularly Eid-ul-Fitr (based on lunar observation) and Divali (calculated from the Hindu calendar) — are confirmed against the T&T Inter-Religious Organisation and published community announcements. We list the expected date with a note that moon-sighting-dependent dates may shift by one day.

School term dates are sourced from the Ministry of Education and are typically announced in July each year. We publish them as soon as they are confirmed.

We review holiday dates annually when the official gazette is published, and update religious observance dates as confirmations come in — typically from November onward for the following year. School calendar dates are updated as soon as the Ministry of Education announces them.
